Training in Life Saving at SKLSC

At St Kilda Lifesaving Club, we offer training for awards that can be obtained through Lifesaving Victoria, so that you can become proficient in lifesaving. If you are looking to begin or update your lifesaving qualifications, there are courses being held at various times throughout the year.   • IRB Training

    IRB Course

    The aim of this course is to provide participants with the skills and knowledge to effectively crew an Inshore Rescue Boat (IRB) in surf rescue operations. Upon successful completion of this course participants will receive the SLSA Inshore Rescue Boat Crew award.

    ARTC / Spinal Course

    The aim of this course is to provide participants with the practical skills and knowledge to enable them to be competent in the use of oxygen, airway management devices, and automated external defibrillators during resuscitation, and to administer oxygen to conscious and unconscious breathing causalities.
